Senior Bowl – Day Two (South)

Possibly the last practice that I’ll attend live in Mobile since the third day of practice was shut off to the media but originally advertised as open to the media, only to be shut down by security at the gate. They didn’t even have a seat for me at the press box, boys. From the security, to the press box, to the media getting shut down day three, this has been a tough year to try and cover the event. It leaves me to question if I’ll even get a credential next year or if I’ll just be rejected.

I did at least make it ten Senior Bowls in a row and kept a time honored southern tradition going in the process. They say, you should try to leave things better than you found it. So, if they reject my credentials and I don’t make it back next year, it was a great run!

HE TRIED TO TELL US!

OL Tyree Phillips, Mississippi State – The man came, he saw and he dominated. He ended up getting reps at tackle and guard but mainly his one on one reps against the best defensive lineman here, Javon Kinlaw, stood out as some of the best drill work on the week at any position. He told us in his live interview that he was looking forward to playing his friend because he knows him the best and has studied his tendencies. Well, he tried to tell us and if you don’t know, then now you know! Mr Phillips came away from Mobile a much richer man in my opinion because of how well he fared against one of the best players at the event.
