This year is unprecedented and possibly the most difficult mock draft that we’re going to have to do in quite some time but that won’t stop the NFL Draft from taking place, nor will it stop us from doing our FINAL and only Mock Draft of the season. There is a strong possibility that this will be my last mock draft ever after what has been the most frustrating draft season that I have ever experienced.
After coming close to death, you start to question why am I covering a sport full of the wealthy and the top 1% of the population when I represent the bottom 99% that can barely pay their bills? Why am I covering soon to be millionaires that have little to no perspective on real life and will quickly become just as disillusioned as the billionaire owners that will be signing their checks? If more and more of our society is becoming disenfranchised with the ideals of consideration, morality, civility and humanity then why am I covering a sport that represents very few if any of those virtues? The answers aren’t readily available to me right now and I struggle to wrap my head around the downfall of our country and it’s lack of direction as well as absence of leadership. I’m sure the savage juggernaut known as the NFL will get along just fine without the likes of yours truly but that’s the only certainty I have at this point. All I can offer is my condolences and I’d like to sincerely say rest in peace to the American Dream. I would like to say it was a good run.
MOCK DRAFT DISCLAIMER: The following picks are not how I have these players ranked and it is not exactly who I would pick some cases. A good mock draft should be the most accurate prediction of how NFL GMs/Teams will be thinking and which players they will be targeting when day one is in the books. This is also not the exacting order in which these players will fall, it is more of an attempt to match teams to players and vice versa.
Regardless of the future, this is the present and this Final Mock Draft is for www.TheHuddleReport.com’s Annual Mock Draft competition and it is my attempt to place as many correct players into the 1st round as I can with their corresponding team if possible.
