Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray Declares for 2019 NFL Draft

What the NFL Draft world has been waiting on happened at the deadline to declare and the Heisman Trophy Winner, Kyler Murray, has decided to throw his hat in the ring. According to Adam Schefter on Twitter; “Kyler Murray has submitted the paperwork to turn pro and plans to enter the NFL draft.”

The 2019 Quarterback Class just got a little more crowded at the top with Murray now in the mix. Murray pushed his decision to the deadline after a last minute meeting with the Oakland Athletics who drafted Murray ninth overall in June of 2018. The team has already given him $4.66 Million that he might have to payback once he signs with an NFL team.

Murray is likely to not only be a first round pick, but he could go exceedingly high considering how well his predecessor at Oklahoma Baker Mayfield performed in his first year for the Cleveland Browns.

Then there’s this to consider…

While Kyler Murray has clear height and size/mass limitations, the guy has been a winner at every level and a real freak of nature with how well he moves. He just eats space so quick and his lateral explosion as well as change of direction is flat out elite. He moves like Sonic the Hedgehog when he breaks structure and turns into a runner.

The Bottom Line is that the complexion of the 2019 NFL Draft just changed completely and this year’s quarterback class just got elevated by a true wildcard passer that fits into today’s league that has been invaded by Saturday style offenses.
